Designing Climate Conversations

Tools for Community-Centered Communication

Workshop | Climate and Justice Education Month

Designing Climate Conversations is a workshop developed from my MA thesis research on participatory design and climate communication and created for the 2026 Worldwide Climate and Justice Education Month. It continues the work I began through my thesis, exploring how designers and creatives can move beyond simply creating climate messages to helping shape conversations with communities. Through a community-centered lens, the workshop introduces practical tools for considering context, lived experience, identity, power, trust, and pathways to action when approaching climate communication.
